Bruce Powell is from Topeka, Kansas. Born the son of a factory worker, his parents taught him the ethics of hard work and honesty which helped him to excel in school, sports, and work. He always knew that he wanted to be a lawyer helping others, and after working to pay his way through college and law school, he achieved that dream in 1978. After representing injured people as a trial lawyer in Kansas City for seven years, he moved to Portland, Oregon in 1985 and has successfully continued protecting the rights of injured people and their families ever since. He has been a partner of our law firm for over 20 years.
Bruce has been a member of associations that protect people’s rights his entire career. He currently is a member of the Oregon Trial Lawyers’ Association, American Association for Justice, Oregon State Bar, and the Multnomah Bar Association.
Bruce has always been very active in his son’s school and sports, and has coached basketball and baseball for many years. His other interests include hiking, rafting, camping, conservation, gardening, playing percussion and drums in a band, and he is a long time supporter of the Cascade Blues Association.
