Steve Riedlinger was born in Missoula, Montana. His dad was a construction worker who moved his family to Oregon when Steve was young. He graduated from McNary High School in Salem, Oregon and went on to attend Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. At the end of his sophomore year, Steve spent two years in Brazil doing missionary work. After graduating from OSU, he attended the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College and earned his J.D. in 1976. He then served as a JAG Officer for the United States Navy for three years.
In 1980, Steve began his law practice in LaGrande, Oregon. His practice included trial experience in civil cases and the prosecution and defense of criminal cases. During his 16 years in Eastern Oregon, he was very active in his community and his children’s school, sports, and scouting activities. In 1996, he moved his family to Portland, Oregon and joined our law firm.
Steve has been married for over 35 years and has four children and one grandson. Away from the office, Steve enjoys volunteering at the YMCA and participating in various athletic events. His interests include racquetball, running, bike riding, motorcycles, and mountain climbing.
